Worklist/Provisioning Task

While provisioning cloud services, or creating company account, or updating company information, if there is an error or break in the process, a worklist task is created automatically. Worklist task represents an activity that is assigned to act on. Whenever a worklist task is created, an e-mail notification will be sent to the marketplace administrator and store administrator to take necessary actions. The Provisioning Tasks user interface displays all the tasks depends on the privilege that you have. However, as a marketplace administrator, you have the privilege to Continue, Skip or Re-Execute a worklist task.
Note:

Note: You cannot continue with a worklist task that is in Error status. However, you can try either re-executing or skipping the task.
Note: You can continue with the worklist tasks that are in Provisioning status. It cannot be re-executed, or skipped.

Search for Worklist Tasks

Search Services feature minimizes your efforts to find relevant worklist tasks when there are multiple worklist tasks available. You can search for worklist task by Workflow Event, Offer Code, Offer Name, Organization Name and Reference ID.

To search for a specific worklist task, do the following:

  1. To find out the worklist task you are looking for, select the search type.
  2. Type the worklist task name or a few unique characters of a worklist task name in the search field.
  3. Click Go.

Based on your defined criteria, all the matching Worklist Task(s) will be displayed.

Continue with Worklist Task

A worklist task can be continued only if the task is in Provisioning status. To continue with a worklist task, do the following.

  1. Log in to the marketplace using your administrator credentials.
  2. On the Administration menu, and click Provisioning Tasks tab. The Provisioning Tasks page displays all the worklist tasks that are created during company provisioning or cloud service provisioning and or updating company information.
  3. Select the worklist task that you want to continue and click Continue. The worklist task is continued and the worklist task status changes to fulfilled. If the worklist task fails then the worklist task status changes to Error status. You may have to try again by Re-Executing the task.

    OR

  4. You can click the worklist task from the Workflow Event column and click Continue to continue with the worklist task.

Re-execute Worklist Task

A worklist task can be re-executed only if the task is in Error status. To re-execute an existing worklist task, do the following.

  1. Log in to the marketplace using your administrator credentials.
  2. On the Administration menu, and click Provisioning Tasks tab. The Provisioning Tasks page displays all the worklist tasks that are created during company provisioning or cloud service provisioning and or updating company information.
  3. Select the worklist task that you want to re-execute and click Re-Execute. The worklist task is re-executed and the worklist task status changes to fulfilled. If the worklist task fails then the worklist task status remains in Error status. You may have to try again.

Skip Worklist Task

A worklist task can be skipped only if the task is in Error status. To skip an existing worklist task, do the following.

  1. Log in to the marketplace using your administrator credentials.
  2. On the Administration menu, and click Provisioning Tasks tab. The Provisioning Tasks page displays all the worklist tasks that are created during company provisioning or cloud service provisioning and or updating company information.
  3. Select the worklist task that you want to skip and click Skip. The worklist task is skipped.
