This page will help you to map/configure Microsoft CSP Partner Credentials and cloud service credentials in Jamcracker Appliance.

Setup Microsoft CSP Partner Credentials

In this section, we take you through step by step process to setup Microsoft CSP partner credentials. The partner credentials can be configured by logging into the Marketplace using your Marketplace credentials.

Before you proceed further, kindly have the following information handy:

j) Request Reseller Relationship Link (optional) Leave this field blank.
k) 2 -Tier Reseller ID (optional) Leave this field blank.

Once you have all the above information, follow the below steps to add your Microsoft CSP Partner Credentials in Jamcracker Platform.

  1. Login to the Marketplace using your Marketplace admin credentials.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Service Management page, locate the Azure CSP Subscription from the list of services and click the Edit Partner Credentials icon from the Actions column.

  3. On the Edit Partner Credentials pop-up window, add the information that was captured as part of Pre-requisites.

  4. Click Save.

Now that you have added your Microsoft CSP Partner Credentials, the next step is to register a WebApp, configure Reply URL and provide necessary permissions.

OR

If you already have a WebApp registered, and follow the instruction from Step 8 on-wards to configure Reply URL and provide necessary permissions.

Add Azure CSP Cloud Service Credentials for Tenant

In this section, we take you through step by step process to add Microsoft CSP Cloud Service Credentials for a Tenant to launch and manage Microsoft Azure resources through Jamcracker Platform:

Before you proceed further, kindly ensure that the Owner Role permission is provided to the customer (tenant) administrator to access the Azure subscription. This can be done by the Microsoft CSP Partner.

Note: If you are a Customer Administrator and want to self assign the Owner Role, here are few additional steps that you must perform before proceeding further or even you can contact your store administrator/partner who can assist you in assigning the role or even creating a new role.

Additional Steps:

You will receive an email after adding your cloud credentials in JSDN for Azure CSP. This email will have your username credentials.

  • Login in to Azure Portal using the credentials in the email.
  • Reset password.
  • Navigate to Azure Active Directory option on the left pane.

  • Search for Properties option and click Properties. The system will display the customer active directory.

  • Click Yes for "Access management for Azure resources" and then click Save.

  • Logout and continue with the below steps.

To provide the Owner role permissions, following the below steps:

  1. Login to the Azure Portal and navigate to Subscriptions page, click the Microsoft Azure subscription.

  2. Click Access control (IAM).

  3. Click Add to add Owner Role (for administrators to access the subscription).

  4. Click Save.

Now, the Customer/Tenant can login to the WebStore and add the respective cloud service credentials. Follow below steps to add the cloud service credentials.

New Customer

  1. Login to Jamcracker Appliance (WebStore).
  2. Navigate to Manage > Cloud Service Credentials page.

  3. Click the Add Cloud Service Credentials icon.

  4. Select Cloud Provider from cloud provider drop-down list and click Next. Fields related to the cloud provider appears on the screen.

  5. If you are a New Microsoft Cloud Customer, select "No" against "Existing Microsoft Cloud Customer option.
  6. Type a unique Microsoft Primary Domain name without any extension. Example: <domain>. We assume that your primary domain extension ends with <domain.onmicrosoft.com>.

Existing Customer

If you are an Existing Microsoft Cloud Customer, select "Yes", and provide the details as described in the below table:

If you are an Existing Microsoft Cloud Customer with new Azure Subscription, select "No", and provide the details as described in the below table:

The following table explains the list of fields that needs to be configured for Azure Cloud Solutions Provider Account. However, before configuring the account, you must have details of your Azure Subscription ID, and Primary domain.

Existing Microsoft Cloud Customer If you are an existing Microsoft Cloud Customer select "Yes".
New Azure Subscription

Select "Yes", if you wish to create a new Azure Subscription (Public).

Select "No", if you already have an Azure Subscription (Public) ID.

Microsoft Primary Domain Type a unique primary domain name without any extension. Example: <domain>. We assume that your primary domain extension ends with <domain.onmicrosoft.com>.
Azure Subscription ID If you have selected "No" for creating a New Azure Subscription, this field is displayed. By default the system will populate as "New", otherwise enter your existing Azure Subscription ID.
Click Save.
Note: For Adding/Mapping multiple subscription follow the Existing Customer flow.

The system will validate your email ID, domain name and subscription ID, once it is validated the status of your account changes to "Waiting for Authorization". You can click the Validate link from the Actions column and authorize your account.

Note: You might experience some of the features doesn't perform as expected, such as; live dashboard doesn't load, resources doesn't display, billing might be wrong. This is due to some of the following errors:
  • You might have provided wrong credentials.
  • Latency in data processing.
  • If JobServer is down.
  • Unexpected special characters in the processing file.
